A house with a warm and welcoming ambience situated in the village of Melegis, at a few metres distance from a supermarket and with a baker and 2 restaurants at a 5 minute walk. The villa is fully detached and has a private swimming pool, orange groves and private parking if necessary (on request).
From the street, the house seems well integrated in the village, but once you get inside, it gives you the impression of being out on the countryside. The backdoor leads out to a terrace with stairs from where the attractive pool (8x5m), the garden and the extensive orange groves are accessed. The situation is ideal for those who like to avoid driving too much during their holiday, as the shops and restaurants of Melegis are really nearby. Also, this is a favourite spot for people who which to combine a ski and beach holiday during the winter season: the Sierra Nevada ski station is on 65 km away from here whilst the beaches of Salobreña (39km) are to be reached within half an hour. The city of Granada (37km) is also a half hour drive and not to be missed for a cultural visit or tapa-tour.
Inside, a warm ambience makes you feel directly at home. On the ground floor, the hall leads in to a spacious lounge/dining room with open fireplace and comfortably furnished with 2 sofas, dining table for 6 and several wooden pieces and paintings that give the house its' own personality. There is also television and a music equipment. The kitchen is well equipped with a 4 rings gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a shower room on this floor with wc and basin. On the first floor there are two twin-bedded rooms, a double bedroom and a large bathroom, all flooded with light. Stairs lead to a tower room from with nice panoramic views across the valley to the hills beyond. At the moment it is used as a studio, and with the windows open and light flooding in, it is a marvellous place to paint. The house has double glazing and central heating, making it ideal for both summer and winter stays.
