This house is, just like Casa Cordoba 005a and Cottage Cordoba 005b, part of the same lovely "cortijo". We find this the perfect accommodation for travellers who like to see a lot of their surroundings, yet want to reside in a comfortable, quiet location and cool off in an attractive pool now and then. The accommodation is in Medina Azahara, within a 15 minute drive from Córdoba and the castle of Almovodar del Rio.
Situated at the base of the Sierra Morena, 2.5 km from the village of Villarrubia and only 16 km from the majestic city of Cordoba. With lots of space around and no traffic, this is the ideal option for travellers who like to go on excursions, yet have a swimming pool at their disposal to cool off when they come home. The shared pool is big enough (10x5 m) to welcome the neighbours of the adjacent farmhouse and the independent cottage.
The friendly owners live in another part of this farmhouse and are devoted to ecological agriculture. They will be happy to show you the cave, an ancient Arabic quarry. The elevated castle of Almodovar del Rio, a 10 minute drive, is another option that speaks to the imagination.
The accommodation is all on one floor and consists of a neat open-plan living/dining room and a mini-kitchen with a 2 ringed ceramic hob, microwave, and refrigerator. Simple, rustic furniture blends with colourful art pieces created by the owner. The bedrooms consist of one double and a twin. Bathroom with shower, WC, and basin. The house is provided with central heating.
