This cottage is a true hideaway set in an elevated position, enjoying stunning countryside views. Furnished in a traditional rustic style, this is the ideal setting for an âaway from it allâ holiday. Yet, you wonât have to renounce luxuries such as an internet connection and air conditioning.
The cottage is located north of Nerja, within the Sierra Tejada National Park area so there is plenty of nature around. There is typical Mediterranean flora and fauna and you may even see deer, wild boars, and other wildlife here! The last 50 m to the cottage is accessed by a steep concrete track. There is a shady veranda, an ideal place for a siesta, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside down to the coast. The verandah continues into a sun terrace complete with sun loungers and private pool (5x3 m). A barbecue is provided for your alfresco dinners. Note: The owner will show you the road that leads from Nerja to the property in a 12 minutes drive through the countryside. The roads are all surfaced with asphalt or concrete. For the more adventurous among us, there is a quicker, alternative way that takes only 5 minutes by car from the Nerja-Frigiliana main road, but can only be used in the dry season as the Rio Higueron needs to be crossed. Itâs only 5 minutes drive but we advise care because of the sharp curves and steep climbs.
The cottage is decorated in a lovely traditional style by its friendly owners, Javier and Rosario. They have equipped the property with the same things they would like to find themselves whilst on holidayâyou will feel right at home! With all rooms on one floor, this is a comfortable retreat. The living/dining room has an open fireplace, satellite TV, CD and DVD player, and air conditioning. The open plan kitchen is equipped with a 4 ring gas hob, oven, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A washing machine is located in a utility room. The bedrooms consist of one double and one twin bedroom with fans. There is a shower room with WC and washbasin.Notes:- A WiFi Internet connection is available (free of charge).- Air conditioning is available in the living room; it is optional at 50 EUR per week.

A nice house with private swimming pool located in a quiet area with great views on the mountains as well as down to the sea. All necessary equipment and wifi access available. A car is indispensable to get around. Very kind and helpful hosts who try everything to make your stay as much confortable as possible.

Truly recommended!
Had a lovely stay at this hideaway retreat near Nerja, about 30 minute drive from malaga airport. Although the house has 2 bedrooms we found it too small should we have had 4 people in our party. For the two of us it was excellent. Beautiful quiet location on a hillslope near national park with lots of walkingtrails, Nerja nearby is conveniend for shopping and a trip to the beach. The swimmingpool looked bigger in the photo on the site but was still large enough for cooling off. Bit steep to get to the house by car from firgiliana, but great fun to drive on this small up and down road across the riverbed. We gave the owner some pointers as what to do to make a stay more comfortable,....3 weeks later he'd already had changed some things for the better. good and very friendly services by the owners. Truly recommended !!!!!

The most relaxing holiday we've ever had.
We have just returned from the most relaxing holiday we've ever had. My husband booked this holiday for my 40th birthday, he wanted a peaceful retreat, away from a built up resort, somewhere special, full of character and with wonderful views, this villa was all of this and more. From the moment we arrived we knew we had discovered a very special place and two very special people, our hosts, Javier and Rosario. We were made to feel so welcome. When we left and said our goodbye's to Javier and Rosario all we could think about was of our return to El Torin and seeing our newly made friends again very soon.

Perfekte Mischung: Ruhe, Wandern und Baden
Wir waren bereits dreimal in El Torin/Frigiliana und können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Der Standard ist zwar einfach jedoch lassen sich die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit nicht durch moderne Einbauküche und Fernseher ersetzen. Wir verbringen dort in der Nachsaison mit zwei Kindern (5 und 7) eine sehr entspannte und aktive Zeit. Das alte Haus ist nicht groà aber sehr liebevoll mit andalusischen Stilelementen eingerichtet und befindet sich neben nur einem weiteren Haus in einem Olivenhain, der in den direkt angrenzenden Naturpark übergeht und bietet Blick auf das Mittelmeer bei Nerja. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto, es sind ca. 5 min. ins weisse Dorf Frigiliana und 10 min. zum Strand nach Nerja. Wandern kann man direkt ab dem Haus sowohl im Naturpark als auch im Rio Higerion, dessen Flussbett mit Schlucht direkt unterhalb des Hauses liegt. Die Zufahrt ist nichts für schwache Nerven, es geht ganz ordentlich bergab und wieder bergan, am dritten Tag merkt man es jedoch kaum noch.

Eine wunderschöne Zeit
Wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem Haus verbracht. Das Haus liegt ruhig und idyllisch in den Bergen - mit tollem Pool und Meerblick. Die StraÃe zum Haus ist zwar ziemlich steil, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Und für die Ãngstlichen gibt es auch noch eine flachere Strecke ;-) In dem Haus hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und auch die netten Vermieter standen stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

Smaakvol, doordacht en prachtig gelegen in geweldige omgeving
Geweldig mooi huis dat smaakvol is opgeknapt door de eigenaren. Wij verbleven hier met onze twee tieners van 13 en 16 en ook zij vonden het geweldig. Het huis is smaakvol en praktisch ingericht, heeft goede bedden en zitgelegenheid, alles is voor handen en in goede staat. Het terras is groot en heeft verschillende zitplekken, uitzicht op zee en bergen en de bedding van de rivier Chillar. De weg vanaf Nerja naar het huisje is soms wat steil en hobbelig maar dat went binnen een paar dagen. Halverwege de route omhoog is een startpunt van een mooie wandeling door de kloof van de Chillar. Aan de korte route hebben wij ons niet gewaagd, zo erg vonden wij het niet iets langer te rijden. De communicatie met zowel de eigenaren als Casitas Select verliep zeer prettig en correct. Kortom, als je niet in een toeristencomplex wil zitten en gesteld bent op rust, vrijheid en natuur dan is dit echt een aanrader.

Prachtig huis
Een prachtig huis en heel mooie omgeving. Ook heel vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars. Het is hier erg rustig en kalm, als je kiest voor rust en ontspanning is dit de plaats. Je kan er ook prachtige wandelingen maken in de natuur, en ook Nerja zelf is maar 4,5km te voet. Zal hier zeker nog terugkomen.
